Business Management Higher Level Apprenticeship

As a Business Management Trainee at Wates, you’ll be given the fantastic opportunity to collaborate with stakeholders across the business, gaining hands- on experience through functional rotations developing your commercial knowledge that relates to Commercial Production and Estimating as well as other key areas of a project lifecycle. Upon completion of the Programme, you will be able to further develop your career in either Site Management or Quantity Surveying.

What you will do

  • Input into bid writing and tenders.
  • Being involved in client stakeholder management, understanding customer drivers and demonstrating excellent customer service.
  • Analysing and reporting on project deliverables and KPI’s.
  • Supporting on Health and Safety on site and gaining knowledge on environmental and social factors.
  • Collaborating and engaging with colleagues and networks to develop your understanding of their area, building expertise as you learn.

Entry requirements

  • You must have achieved grade 4/C or above in GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • You must have obtained or be working towards a minimum of 2 A-Levels at grade D or above, or an equivalent qualification, such as: Level 3 NVQ, BTEC, T-Level or other comparable Level 3 qualifications.

A driving licence is not required at the application stage; however, the successful candidate will be expected to obtain one during the course of the programme.

Programme duration

This is a 3-year apprenticeship programme, combining practical experience with formal training. You’ll work towards a Level 4 qualification while gaining hands-on experience in the industry.
