About the Role

A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Hackney Wick, East London , is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join its professional teaching team. This is a full-time, permanent role , ideal for experienced teachers or newly qualified teachers (ECTs) eager to contribute to a dynamic, multicultural school community.

Key Responsibilities

As a Primary Teacher at this Hackney Wick school, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons across the curriculum in line with the National Curriculum

  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that promotes academic, social, and emotional growth

  • Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEN, EAL, or higher learning needs

  • Using formative and summative assessments to track pupil progress and inform lesson planning

  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, effort, and achievement

  • Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and personal development alongside academic progress

  • Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SEN staff, and senior leadership to deliver interventions and targeted support

  • Participating in pupil progress meetings, curriculum planning, and whole-school initiatives

  • Communicating effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress, behaviour, and wellbeing

  • Keeping accurate records of pupil performance, assessment, and behaviour

  • Participating actively in staff meetings, CPD sessions, and other professional development opportunities

  • Upholding safeguarding, child protection, and school policies at all times

The Ideal Candidate

The school is looking for a Primary Teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Has experience teaching in KS1 or KS2 (ECTs welcome)

  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills and applies positive behaviour strategies consistently

  • Is committed to inclusive education , supporting pupils from diverse and multicultural backgrounds

  • Can differentiate lessons effectively to meet the needs of all learners

  • Is reflective, proactive, and committed to ongoing professional development

  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills with pupils, parents, and colleagues

  • Works collaboratively as part of a professional team

  • Is passionate about making a lasting difference to children’s learning and development

Experience supporting pupils with SEN, EAL, or additional learning needs is desirable but not essential.
