English Teacher
A high-achieving Secondary School in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets is seeking a professional and highly organised English Teacher to join their dedicated and successful English department. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-structured and supportive school environment where teaching staff play an essential role in the smooth academic operation of the school.
The successful candidate will provide day-to-day instructional support across multiple key stages, specializing in literary analysis, rhetoric, creative composition, and historical context. Responsibilities will include maintaining student progress records, updating school tracking systems, managing departmental correspondence, supporting attendance administration, and assisting with the organisation of regional poetry slams, literacy mentoring programs, and cross-curricular creative initiatives.
You will also support communication with parents, students, and external academic bodies while ensuring that information is handled professionally and confidentially at all times. Strong organisational skills are essential, as the role requires the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and manage multiple responsibilities within a busy school environment.
The school is looking for someone who is proactive, reliable, and able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative English team. Good IT skills and data literacy are important, alongside strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements
Previous teaching or relevant instructional experience in English up to GCSE and A-Level
