Year 3 Teacher - Redbridge
We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and committed Year 3 Teacher to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Redbridge, starting ASAP. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys lower Key Stage 2 and is passionate about supporting pupils as they transition from KS1 into KS2 learning.
The school has a strong community ethos and a supportive leadership team that values collaboration, high standards, and staff wellbeing. Teachers are encouraged to be creative in their approach while maintaining clear expectations for behaviour and progress.
As a Year 3 Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons across the curriculum, helping pupils build confidence, independence, and strong foundations in literacy and numeracy.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Year 3 curriculum
Support pupils transitioning from KS1 to KS2
Assess, track, and monitor pupil progress effectively
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEN
Promote positive behaviour and high expectations
Create a well-structured, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
Work closely with teaching assistants and KS2 colleagues
Communicate effectively with parents and carers
Contribute to staff meetings, planning, and school initiatives
Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Have recent experience teaching in KS2, ideally Year 3
Have a strong understanding of the lower KS2 curriculum
Be organised, enthusiastic, and reflective in practice
Have strong classroom management skills
Be a positive team player with excellent communication skills
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
