TPF Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established, independent accountancy practice in the TW area that is looking to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper to join their friendly and close-knit team.

The practice works with a broad range of clients including SMEs, owner-managed businesses and individuals, providing high-quality bookkeeping and advisory support.

The Role

As a Bookkeeper, you will manage your own portfolio of clients and take responsibility for delivering accurate and timely bookkeeping and VAT services.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing a portfolio of bookkeeping clients across a variety of industries
  
• Processing sales and purchase invoices, bank reconciliations and general ledger entries
  
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
  
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
  
• Assisting with the preparation of management accounts
  
• Liaising directly with clients and acting as a key point of contact for day-to-day queries
  
• Supporting clients with cloud accounting systems and providing guidance where required
  
• Assisting with year-end processes and working closely with the accounts team
  
• Identifying opportunities to improve client processes and efficiencies
  

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will likely have:

• Previous experience in a bookkeeping role within an accountancy practice
  
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and VAT processes
  
• Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks
  
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines
  
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  
• Confident communication skills and a client-focused approach
  
• A proactive mindset with a willingness to support the wider team
