Gig Economy Lead

As Superscript evolves to a three pillar model (SME, Specialty, Gig), we are creating an opportunity for an internal leader to build and scale our Gig Economy pillar.

This is a commercial build role with real accountability.

It is not an ELT role — but it is a significant leadership progression opportunity.

About the role:

To develop and execute Superscript’s Gig Economy strategy in a disciplined, commercially sound way delivering profitable growth and strengthening our platform.

This individual will:

• Shape the Gig strategy within agreed guardrails

• Build and activate distribution

• Own commercial delivery

• Ensure platform integration

• Represent Superscript in the Gig ecosystem

What Success Looks Like:

Within 12–18 months:

• Clear Gig strategy defined and approved

• Focused market positioning

• At least one meaningful distribution partnership secured

• Live activation within platform

• Clear contribution margin trajectory

• Strong cross functional collaboration

Core responsibilities:

1. Strategy & Focus

• Identify where we play (not everywhere)

• Define right to win

• Build financial framework with CFO support

• Present structured roadmap

2. Distribution & Commercial activation

• Source and negotiate partnerships

• Activate new relationships effectively

• Maintain margin discipline

• Build predictable pipeline

3. Platform & Collaboration

• Work closely with Product, Tech, Underwriting and Ops

• Ensure Gig leverages the single Superscript platform

• Avoid unnecessary complexity

• Operate as a collaborative internal leader

4. External Presence

• Build relationships within the Gig ecosystem

• Represent Superscript professionally

• Develop long term credibility
