Role Summary and Impact

This role offers an exciting opportunity to be involved in a highly experienced Global Client Compliance team emanating from a variety of disciplines. Managing commercial audit across WPP Media's global agencies is fundamental to the role. However, additionally, a key focus is on cultivating a best in class compliance structure for agency and clients alike, implementing media focussed process and procedures and associated systems.

As a manager, you will help to ensure contract compliance across the portfolio, protect client profitability and to manage client satisfaction.

Success in the compliance arena has a tangible impact on WPP Media's reputation within the industry and contributes to its commercial success across its multi-million-dollar international client base.

Whilst assisting the Directors with the audit and contractual governance of their portfolios will be a priority, you will also have the opportunity to proactively manage a small number of your own clients. Additionally, working alongside the Commercial/Compliance Directors will expose you to both the broader media environment, comprehensive contracting solutions and complex negotiations, allowing you to gain valuable experience and develop your commercial/compliance expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of designated commercial contract key terms and awareness of key client relationships

  • Assist with the implementation of tailored compliance programs to meet changing market practices and specific client contractual requirements
  • Working knowledge of the media performance audits and any media process/digital audits
  • Collaborate on the development of training and best practice programs to include commercial contractual knowledge
  • Help to maintain up-to-date agency commercial guidance documentation and systems

Skills and Experience

  • Strong financial acumen including analytical and quantitative skills
  • Robust communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to navigate challenging conversations
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently with ownership over assignments
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Proactive problem-solver with continuous improvement mindset

Qualifications

  • Qualified/part qualified accountant/auditor and/or a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Commercial, Accounting, Finance, International Business, or a related field
