Senior Product Manager
About us
At Xelix, we work with some of the world’s largest companies to automate and strengthen their financial controls. Our AI solutions redefine how Accounts Payable teams operate – moving from manual processes to automated, intelligent workflows.
Xelix is a fast-paced scale-up – things move fast and expectations are high. We raised our Series B with Insight Partners in June 2025 and are expanding aggressively. We have a team 150 talented people pulling together to achieve our goals. Everyone is trusted to take ownership, move fast and have a meaningful impact. We prioritise personal and professional growth, keep things fun, and love to celebrate a milestone together.
In this role you’ll grow, be challenged and help shape the future of Xelix. If you’re excited about building something special with us, we’d love to hear from you.
What you'll be doing
We’re hiring a Senior Product Manager to work on a core product area (strategy, roadmap, and outcomes) within our B2B SaaS platform.
PM’s at Xelix don’t do delivery-only work and we’re not a feature factory. The expectation is that you understand problems deeply , make good decisions , and own the outcomes — even when things are ambiguous or messy.
You’ll work closely with Engineering, Design, AI Engineering, and go-to-market teams to set direction, align teams, and drive measurable customer + business impact.
Own a product area (not just a backlog)
Take clear ownership of a product area, including defining the strategy, problem thesis, and what success looks like and how it will be measured.
Spend time getting to the root of problems before jumping to solutions, synthesising evidence across customers, data, and internal teams.
Make prioritisation decisions and trade-offs, and explain them clearly including when to double down, sequence differently, or stop work that isn’t delivering impact.
Discovery and Decision-Making
Run focused, proportionate discovery using customer interviews, data, and internal expertise enough to build confidence in decisions, not to delay them.
Work closely with stakeholders, but take responsibility for the final call. Say no when needed, delivering a clear why backed by context and reasoning. Bring stakeholders with you through calm, high-context decision-making.
Validate the biggest assumptions quickly before committing teams to build, using the fastest credible methods to reduce risk.
Lead through influence
Create alignment across Engineering, Design, AI Engineering, and GTM on what we’re doing, why we’re doing it, and why now.
Navigate disagreement on approach (product vs solution, speed vs quality, short-term vs long-term) with clarity and good judgment.
Proactively manage cross-team dependencies and unblock progress in ambiguous environments.
Ship, Learn, and Adapt
Work with a cross-functional squad to deliver iteratively and get real feedback early and often.
Treat launch as part of the work, not the finish line. Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Account Management, and Services so teams understand the what and why to make sure what we ship can be sold, supported, and adopted.
Track adoption, usage, behaviour change and feedback to understand whether value was actually created and where iteration is needed. Define leading indicators early and ensure we can measure what matters.
Strategic & commercial impact
Partner with Commercial and Customer teams to understand revenue/retention drivers and translate them into the highest-leverage product opportunities.
Balance scalable product bets with platform health and customer realities, making principled trade-offs.
Contribute to product strategy beyond your immediate scope by surfacing insights, risks, and opportunities.
Communicate Clearly
PMs should be able to tell clear, compelling stories, and elicit them from others. Always adapting to the audience.
Write and speak in a way that makes complex things easier to understand.
Be clear about intent, context, and decisions.
What Success Looks Like
After 6–12 months:
You clearly own and shape a product area that matters, with clear evidence of customer and business impact.
Teams understand why work is happening, not just what .
Launches show real adoption and impact, and you iterate quickly when the data disagrees with the plan.
Stakeholders trust your judgment, even when you push back, because your decisions are high-quality and well-communicated.
What you’ll bring
You’ve spent significant time building B2B SaaS products in complex problem spaces and can point to measurable outcomes you’ve owned.
You care more about outcomes than output.
You’re comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and owning the consequences.
You can zoom into detail without losing sight of the bigger picture.
You operate well in ambiguity: you create clarity, alignment, and momentum where none exists.
You use AI as a practical tool to increase your leverage and efficiency; well beyond “Claude, improve my writing.”
You apply clear judgment about when AI meaningfully improves product outcomes.
You like working in environments where expectations are high and ownership is real.
Bonus
Experience in fintech, accounting, or financial operations software.
Exposure to data-heavy or ML-enabled products.
