This may include one-to-one support, small-group interventions, and in-class assistance to help pupils access the curriculum. You will also play a key role in supporting pupils’ emotional regulation, social development, and independence throughout the school day.

You will contribute to a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment and work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure consistent and effective support.

  • Observe, record, and report on pupil progress

  • Work closely with teachers, SENCo, and other support staff

  • Support pupils during transitions, break times, and structured activities

  • Contribute to staff meetings, training, and school initiatives

  • Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment

  • Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times

  • Be patient, empathetic, and resilient

  • Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Be proactive, flexible, and reliable

  • Show a clear commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing

Location
