Academics is currently working with a friendly and inclusive mainstream primary school in Hammersmith & Fulham, which is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary SEN Teacher to join its supportive team from May 2026. This is a rewarding opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working with pupils both in small groups and whole-class settings, delivering structured interventions and supporting children with Autism and ASD to make progress across the curriculum.
This mainstream primary school in Hammersmith & Fulham supports pupils across KS1 and KS2, with a strong focus on inclusion and SEN. The school has a collaborative ethos and works closely with support staff and external professionals to ensure pupils with additional needs are fully supported to develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

Contract: Full-time
Start Date: May 2026
Salary: M3-UPS1 (dependent on experience)
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons and targeted interventions for pupils with Autism and ASD across KS1 and KS2.
- Work with small groups and individuals to support learning, communication, and social development.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs and ensure all pupils can access the curriculum.
- Collaborate closely with class teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals to provide consistent and effective support.
- Create a structured, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes confidence and independence.
- Uphold high professional standards and safeguarding practices in line with school policies.
What We're Looking For:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have completed an undergraduate degree.
- Have experience supporting pupils with Autism and ASD, ideally within a mainstream primary setting.
- Have experience delivering interventions and working with groups of children across KS1 and KS2.
- Demonstrate patience, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to inclusive education.
