Senior Manager – Data Migration Lead (Oracle Delivery Services)

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Manager to lead large-scale data migration work within major Oracle transformation programmes. You will oversee end-to-end data migration delivery, guide technical teams, ensure data quality, and work closely with senior stakeholders to support business readiness and successful deployment.

Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
- Lead and manage complete data migration workstreams across Oracle transformation projects.
- Oversee planning, data strategy, execution, quality assurance, and migration cutover activities.
- Coordinate data mapping, data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation.
- Monitor progress, risks, and issues to ensure successful migration phases.
T
echnical Expertise
- Provide subject matter expertise in Oracle ERP data structures, Financials and/or Supply Chain modules.
- Work with technical teams on extraction, transformation, loading (ETL), and data validation.
- Use SQL/PLSQL for data analysis, interrogation, and troubleshooting.
- Apply best-practice methodologies for data migration, data quality, and governance.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with business and IT stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure readiness.
- Present insights clearly, converting raw data into meaningful business narratives.
- Build strong relationships across operational, technical, and senior leadership groups.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and develop a data migration team, providing coaching and oversight.
- Contribute to internal capability development and continuous improvement of data migration processes.
Skills & Experience Required
- Extensive practical experience in Oracle ERP transformation programmes.
- Proven track record leading complex data migration programmes end-to-end.
- Strong understanding of Oracle ERP data structures (Financials or Supply Chain).
- Proficiency in SQL or PL/SQL, with strong analytical and data interrogation skills.
- Experience across various data migration methodologies (ETL, data warehousing, etc.).
- Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience leading teams in large-scale projects.
- Familiarity with delivery methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid models.
- Practical understanding of key phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Eligibility to obtain UK Government Security Clearance.
Desirable
- Experience with PRINCE2, Agile, or Waterfall delivery frameworks.
- Data management or Oracle certifications.
- Background in large-scale transformation environments.
