A well-established and highly regarded accountancy firm based in London's West End is seeking an experienced Private Client Tax Manager to join its growing Private Client Tax team.

This is a hands-on role offering exposure to complex UK private client and owner-managed business (OMB) work, with a strong mix of compliance and advisory.

The Role

You will manage a portfolio of complex private client cases, working closely with Partners on both compliance and planning matters. The position offers genuine advisory exposure while retaining technical depth.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a portfolio of UK private clients, OMBs and HNWIs
• Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns
• Identifying advisory opportunities across your portfolio
• Supporting Partners on technical advisory projects
• Reviewing work prepared by junior team members and providing technical guidance
• Managing client relationships throughout the full lifecycle

This role does not involve formal line management, allowing you to focus on technical excellence and client delivery.

Client Base & Technical Focus

The firm works predominantly with UK-based OMBs, shareholders and business owners, alongside high net worth individuals. Current areas of focus include:

• Inheritance Tax (IHT) planning and rule changes
• Shareholder and employment tax matters
• Trust taxation (desirable)
• Family investment companies
• Property-related tax issues
• Making Tax Digital developments
• Some international residence and domicile matters (beneficial but not essential)

About You

• Strong UK private client and OMB tax experience (essential)
• CTA qualified preferred, but Qualified by Experience (QBE) candidates will be considered
• Solid practical technical knowledge with a commercial mindset
• Experience reviewing junior staff work
• Proactive, curious and confident identifying planning opportunities
• An understanding of accounts would be advantageous

Package

• £70,000 - £75,000 depending on experience
