An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced School Business Manager to join a prestigious Independent School in Richmond upon Thames from October Half Term 2026.

Working closely with the Head and Senior Leadership Team, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the school's long-term success by leading its financial, operational and administrative functions.

The Role
The School Business Manager will provide strategic leadership across the school's business operations, ensuring efficient and effective management of resources.
Responsibilities include:
Leading the school's financial planning, budgeting and procurement
Overseeing HR administration, recruitment and operational policies
Managing premises, facilities and health & safety compliance
Monitoring contracts and relationships with external suppliers
Supporting strategic planning alongside the Head and Senior Leadership Team
Ensuring compliance with financial, legal and regulatory requirements
Leading and developing the school's administration and support teams

The Successful Candidate
The school is seeking an experienced business or operations professional with strong financial and organisational leadership skills.
Previous experience as a School Business Manager, Operations Manager, Business Manager or within a senior finance or administrative role is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, commercially aware and confident managing multiple priorities within a busy educational environment.
Salary & Benefits
£55,000 – £70,000 per annum
