Tunnel Assistant Surveyor (Tunnel Construction Project)

Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technician services (). We are currently looking for a Tunnel Assistant Surveyor to join our team for a tunnel construction project in the South of London (100% Onsite).

Project: Tunnel construction project.

Estimated Duration: 24-month contract. In general, when the project ends, we try to relocate the employee to other projects to ensure continuity.

Responsibilities:

• Support the surveying team in measurement, staking out, and geometric control tasks within a tunnel environment.
• Assist with the setup and operation of surveying equipment, prepare materials, record data, and provide logistical support at the work front.
• Assist with surveying and staking out tasks inside the tunnel.
• Handle and transport surveying equipment (total station, level, scanner, etc.).
• Set up and maintain control points and survey references.
• Help collect and record field data and documentation.
• Support safety procedures and logistical needs of the surveying team.

Requirements:

• Technical qualification in Surveying.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in underground works, tunnel, rail, or similar projects.
• Previous experience in surveying or underground works.
• CSCS card.
• Work permit or right to work in the UK.
• Willing to commute or relocate to South London.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, ~40 hours/week, with additional hours or weekends depending on project needs.
