Systems Engineer
What You Will Do
The Pre Sales Engineer is responsible for driving the technical strategy and execution across the sales cycle to support revenue growth, customer success, and solution adoption. This role requires a highly skilled technical expert with a strong background in cybersecurity or enterprise technology, and a passion for solving complex problems. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical knowledge, consultative engagement skills, and a collaborative mindset to position Forescout as the trusted partner in securing digital environments. By aligning customer needs with Forescout’s capabilities, the Pre Sales Systems Engineer plays a critical role in enabling sales success and long-term customer value.
- Educate customers and partners on Forescout’s modern security capabilities and the evolving threat landscape.
- Build deep, consultative relationships, becoming a trusted advisor who aligns Forescout’s solutions with the customer's business and technical objectives.
- Identify security challenges within customer environments and engage effectively across both technical and management stakeholders.
- Present Forescout’s value proposition, product roadmap, and strategy confidently to audiences ranging from engineers to executives.
- Deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations, both virtually and in-person, in collaboration with the sales team.
- Support customers through technical escalations, acting as a bridge between sales, support, and engineering teams to ensure successful resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Support technical pre-sales activities, identifying and qualifying new opportunities through to closure.
- Enable and collaborate with channel partners in a channel-centric sales model.
- Manage proof-of-concept (POC) activities, including test plan optimisation, configuration adjustments, and resolution of issues during evaluation.
- Assist with the development of POC environments and configurations, aligned with account team goals and resource availability.
- Support customers through technical escalations, ensuring a seamless experience.
- Achieve and maintain FSCA and FSCE certifications in designated technology areas.
- Stay actively current with Forescout’s 4D Platform and related technologies through ongoing training and enablement.
What You Will Bring To Forescout
- 8+ years of experience in the IT industry, with 5+ years in a pre-sales or technical consulting role.
- Passion for cybersecurity solutions and enthusiasm for hands-on testing and customer engagement.
- Strong technical skills, presentation abilities, and written communication expertise.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across distributed teams in a global environment.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused, with a drive to deliver high-quality results.
- Experience translating requirements into best practice solutions that enhance user experiences.
- Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Willingness to take initiative, multitask effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience required.
