Trust Specialist - Family Office, to £68k + attractive benefits
Are you an experienced Trust professional looking for a role where you can concentrate on interesting client work, deepen your technical expertise and work as part of a small, highly regarded team—without the pressure of chargeable hour targets and endless timesheets?
Our client is a long-established Family Office responsible for a diverse portfolio of family and charitable trusts.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys the technical and administrative aspects of trust work and is looking for greater variety, autonomy and quality of life than is often available within larger accountancy or professional services firms.
The Opportunity

The work is broad and engaging, covering:

• Managing distributions and beneficiary payments
• Trust cashflow management and reconciliations
• Preparing HMRC submissions and claims
• Supporting the administration of family and charitable trusts
• Liaising with beneficiaries, professional advisers, stockbrokers and other third parties
• Assisting with trust events, restructuring and beneficiary entitlement matters
• Ensuring compliance obligations are met accurately and efficiently
The portfolio offers exposure to a range of trust structures and complex client situations, providing the opportunity to develop and apply your technical knowledge in a supportive environment with highly skilled and experienced senior colleagues.
About You
We're interested in speaking with experienced Trust professionals who have developed strong technical knowledge across trust accounting, taxation and administration.
You are likely to have:
• Several years' experience working with trusts and estates
• Strong experience preparing trust accounts and tax returns
• Knowledge of CGT, IHT and trust taxation compliance
• The confidence to manage a portfolio of work with minimal supervision
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach
Why Join?
• No onerous timesheets or chargeable hour pressures
• Work directly within a respected Family Office environment
• Join a small, experienced and supportive team
• Broad and technically interesting trust portfolio
• Exposure to family and charitable trusts
• Opportunity to focus on quality client service and technical excellence rather than utilisation targets
• Stable, long-term career opportunity with an excellent reputation
This role would suit an experienced Trust Specialist probably at AM/Manager level seeking a more rewarding environment where expertise is valued, bureaucracy is minimal, and the emphasis is firmly on delivering exceptional service to trust beneficiaries and stakeholders.
