Job Title: Performance Coach

About the role:

The Performance Coach will provide expert support to local senior management in managing the day-to-day operations of a flagship health & performance space with a key globally renowned client opening in late 2026; including but not limited to the delivery of onsite and virtual classes, specialised wellbeing experiences/series, fitness programming & space operations within a group exercise studio, multi-use games area (MUGA) & Swimming Pool where applicable. The Performance Coach will be required to demonstrate the desired skills, behaviours & agile mindset to create & deliver effective programs both in person & digitally across a multitude of disciplines. This role will also work closely with other departments & local leadership to provide support in the delivery of the internal wellbeing strategy for Westfield Health. The successful candidate will be a world class practitioner & communicator; who is able to work seamlessly within a high performing team, and individually to consistently deliver in line with client objectives.

Your responsibilities:

  • Delivering high calibre coaching practice across our program in a brand new flagship space. This will comprise of small group & group sessions at all ability levels; across a group exercise studio, MUGA & within scope, a swimming pool where appropriate.

  • Working closely with operations leads in facilitating a world class wellbeing experience through carefully designed group class schedules, unique specialty series programs & flexibility in delivering across a number of different spaces.

  • Designing carefully constructed exercise programs for users of varying ability and goals with an emphasis on quality movement, careful instruction, and safe results.

  • You lead by example in assisting with digital and onsite opportunities for connection. You actively take responsibility to help promote and participate in community events designed for maximum participation, and track engagement accordingly.

  • Responsibility for conducting regular H&S checks on spaces & inventory through monitoring processes alongside local senior management; in line with client needs & expectations. This includes regular equipment & supplies checks, maintaining exceptional space cleanliness & aligning with 7 star hospitality standards.

  • As part of existing service frameworks, Conduct space relevant orientations to remain connected with client user base outside of traditional coaching & to maximise engagement across our offerings.

  • Reporting required metrics to monitor the utilisation and performance of the Active Spaces; and wellbeing initiatives, including but not limited to attendance, engagement, outreach efforts, and activity level.

  • Play a key part in the delivery, creation and improvement of our wellbeing initiatives; partnering with local Senior Leadership & wider teams on the creation & delivery of world class health & wellbeing activations.

  • Be solutions oriented! As a key client facing practitioner, you will be responsible for removing barriers and reducing friction for individuals to engage in our programs. Bring your A game for every engagement.

What you’ll bring:

  • Level 2 Fitness Instructor (CIMSPA recognised)

  • Level 3 Personal Trainer (CIMSPA recognised)

  • Sports Science Degree (BSc or equivalent)would be ideal

  • Strength & Conditioning MSc (or equivalent) would be beneficial

  • Industry Certifications (e.g., NASM, NSCA, ASCA, UKSCA)

  • Group Exercise Certifications (Yoga, Pilates, Boxing/Boxercise, Indoor Cycle)

  • Lifeguard Certification

  • Group Training Expertise — delivering high‑quality group classes and small‑group training in high‑performance corporate settings.

  • Independent Programme Development — identifying training needs, designing interventions, and delivering effective wellbeing solutions.

  • Internal Stakeholder Influence — building strong working relationships and influencing employees across the organisation.

  • Corporate Coaching Experience over two years’ experience in personal training or coaching within a corporate environment would be beneficial

  • Interpersonal Communication — strong verbal and written communication with stakeholders at all levels.

  • IT literate being proficient with Chrome OS, Microsoft Office, and related platforms.

  • Self‑Management as a proactive self‑starter with strong planning, coordination, and organisational abilities.

  • Influencing & Coaching by being able to engage, motivate, and coach others to support wellbeing initiatives.

  • Health & Wellbeing Ethos with a genuine passion for supporting others’ wellbeing.

  • Collaborating as an effective team player who also excels when working independently.

  • Adaptive Organisation — highly organised, responsive, and able to adapt to evolving client needs.

Salary, Perks & Benefits:

· Salary - £30,784 per annum

· 40 hours per week

· 25 days annual leave plus 1 in lieu of Christmas period.
