Management Accountant (Temporary) – Healthcare Sector

💰 Day Rate: £145 - £225

Looking for a hands-on Management Accountant role where you can make an immediate impact?
We are seeking a CIMA or ACCA Qualified or CIMA Finalist to support our finance team within a growing healthcare organisation during a key period of reporting, operational support, and system improvement.

This is a temporary role covering a period of approximately 2–9 months , making it ideal for someone who enjoys stepping into a broad finance role and quickly adding value.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts including P&L, accruals, and prepayments

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules

• Prepare cash flow statements and support working capital monitoring

• Support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

• Assist with payroll data preparation and reconciliation

• Deliver variance analysis with clear commentary

• Support preparation of board and management reports

• Assist with budget preparation and reforecasting

• Monitor actual vs budget performance and highlight key variances

• Support external audits , liaising with auditors and providing documentation

• Work with operational teams to identify cost efficiencies and improvements

• Present financial data and insights to senior stakeholders in a clear and actionable way

• Assist with data preparation, cleansing, and migration to new accounting and payroll systems

• Participate in system testing and parallel runs during implementation

• Develop dashboards and reporting tools within the new system

• Provide support on ad hoc finance tasks and projects

About You

• CIMA or ACCA Qualified, or CIMA Finalist

• Experience in a management accounting or similar finance role

• Strong technical accounting knowledge

• Advanced Excel skills , including Power Query and ODBC

• Experience with Sage 50 and Sage Payroll

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Comfortable working in a hands-on finance role within a fast-paced environment

• Able to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
