The Chancery Rosewood, a Rosewood Hotel Group property, occupies the iconic former U.S. Embassy on Grosvenor Square, reimagined by Sir David Chipperfield. With 144 suites designed by Joseph Dirand and a portfolio of destination dining, bars, and event spaces, the hotel is positioned as one of London’s most significant luxury openings.
We are seeking an exceptional Director of Food & Beverage to lead, shape, and future-proof one of the city’s most ambitious F&B divisions. This is a senior executive appointment for a commercially astute, creatively driven leader with a strong point of view and the ability to balance brand, business, and culture.
The Role
As Director of Food & Beverage, you will act as Business Manager, Cultural Leader, and Brand Custodian for the division. You will define and deliver the long-term vision for Food & Beverage, ensuring each outlet is individually successful while contributing to a cohesive and compelling overall proposition. This role carries full accountability for commercial performance, guest experience, people leadership, brand integrity, and innovation.
Key Accountabilities
Strategic & Commercial Leadership
Set and deliver the F&B vision in line with Rosewood’s corporate strategy and relationship-hospitality philosophy.
Lead the Annual Business and Marketing Plans, translating strategy into disciplined execution.
Drive profitability across all outlets and events through intelligent forecasting, cost control, labour optimisation, and performance management.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging concepts to keep the division distinctive and cutting-edge.
Brand, Experience & Programming
Curate compelling dining concepts, partnerships, pop-ups, and experiences that position the hotel as a cultural and social destination.
Act as a senior Brand Ambassador, ensuring clarity, consistency, and authenticity across all guest touchpoints.
Personally champion guest relationships, reputation management, and experiential excellence.
Operational Excellence
Provide executive oversight of restaurants, bars, events, banqueting, and in-room dining.
Ensure consistent service standards, quality, compliance, and operational rigour across all profit centres.
Oversee SOPs, operational manuals, and governance frameworks to maintain best-in-class standards.
People & Culture
Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing leadership team across Food & Beverage.
Create a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous development.
Lead performance management, succession planning, and talent development for the division.
Governance, Risk & Safety
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and statutory requirements.
Embed a culture of safe working practices, risk awareness, and professional integrity.
Candidate Profile
This role will suit an individual who brings:
Proven senior leadership experience within luxury, lifestyle, or high-profile hospitality environments.
A strong commercial mindset paired with creative flair and brand sensitivity.
Demonstrable experience leading complex, multi-outlet F&B operations.
Gravitas and credibility at executive and ownership level.
A leadership style grounded in empathy, clarity, and high standards.
Diversity & Inclusion
At Rosewood, we are committed to equity, inclusion, and belonging. We ensure a fair, transparent hiring process and are dedicated to creating opportunities for all, regardless of background.
