As a Lead Nurse in Substance Misuse Services, you will:

• Lead and manage a team of nurses providing care to service users with complex needs.
• Ensure the service meets all CQC and national quality standards.
• Support detox programmes and clinical interventions with prescribing teams.
• Promote harm reduction strategies, including BBV screening and immunisation.
• Act as a point of escalation for safeguarding concerns and clinical risks.
• Contribute to staff development through supervision and training.
• Build strong relationships with external stakeholders.
• Participate in service development and clinical audits.

The ideal candidate for the Lead Nurse position will:

• Be a Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a valid NMC PIN.
• Have strong clinical experience in substance misuse, community health, or mental health.
• Be confident in managing a team and leading on clinical best practice.
• Understand harm minimisation, detox processes, and BBV care.
• Be skilled in managing complex caseloads while maintaining high standards of care.
• Possess excellent communication and leadership skills.
