iMarkHD Study Project Manager (Maternity Cover)
The Centre for Neuroimaging Sciences at King's College London is a world-leading interdisciplinary research facility based at the Denmark Hill campus. Led by Professor Steve Williams, we are pioneers in imaging the brain to understand brain diseases. Whether investigating individual cells or assessing patients in clinics, we provide the specialist images neuroscientists need.
Our pre-clinical research helps to understand neurological and psychiatric diseases and disorders, showing the effects of potential new treatments. We translate these findings to improve the diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric and neurological disorders and gain insights into normal brain function. We have a strong focus on movement disorders.
About the role:
We are seeking a project manager to join the department of neuroimaging based at the Centre of Neuroimaging Sciences at King's College London, Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology, and Neurosciences.
The successful candidate will join a large team with extensive experience in neuroimaging. They will work as a project manager on an ambitious, large-scale imaging study looking at novel biomarkers and therapeutic markers in people with premanifest and early manifest Huntington's disease, the iMarkHD study. They will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the study, supported by clinical fellows and the principal investigator. The post holder will conduct these activities with the support of another part-time project manager and several research assistants for whom they will also be the direct line manager.
The successful candidate should have previous experience in clinical research in a coordinating/managerial position, and should be an excellent communicator, with experience of working effectively with clinical and academic research organisations. Previous work in neuroscience and a strong motivation to work within this field is desirable.
This is a full time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract to start in August 2026 and end 12 months later

Essential criteria
- Previous experience in clinical research in a coordinating and/or managerial position
- Understanding of, and experience of working within, Regulatory requirements pertaining to clinical research
- Experience in clinical study oversight
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience of working effectively within clinical and academic research organisations
- Experience of line management and of managing a team within a research setting
- Evidence of continuous personal, professional and academic development
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience in neuroscience research
- Strong motivation to work within the field of neuroscience
- Recent GCP training
- Knowledge and experience of handling complex relationships
- Report writing and presentation skills
