ABOUT THE ROLE
At Daylesford Organic , we have been farming organically in the Cotswolds for over 40 years, supplying our cafés and farm shops with seasonal produce, artisan food, and ingredients grown, reared and crafted with care.
Our Brompton Cross store brings the spirit of the Farm to London offering fresh organic produce, meat from our own farms, vegetables from our market garden, handcrafted homeware, and a beautiful café where the menu celebrates the very best of the season.
We are now seeking an experienced and inspiring Café Manager to lead our Brompton Cross café someone who shares our passion for exceptional food, warm hospitality, and sustainable living.
40 hours and 5 shifts a week including weekends.
£30,000 - £32,000 per annum, plus tronc.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, inspire and develop a high-performing front-of-house team
Foster a culture of warmth, professionalism and genuine hospitality
Recruit, train and coach team members to deliver consistent excellence
Guest Experience
Ensure every guest enjoys an elevated, welcoming and seamless experience
Champion product knowledge, sharing the provenance of our food and organic ethos
Maintain the highest standards of presentation and service at all times
Operational Excellence
Oversee day-to-day café operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service
Manage rotas, labour costs and productivity in line with business needs
Maintain full compliance with food safety, health & safety and company standards
Commercial Performance
Drive sales, manage budgets and achieve agreed KPIs
Monitor stock levels, minimise waste and protect margin
Work closely with the Farm and central teams to optimise seasonal offerings
Brand & Sustainability
Be an ambassador for Daylesford’s organic and sustainable values
Promote conscious consumption and environmentally responsible practices
Ensure the café reflects the beauty, integrity and quality of our Farm
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Proven experience as a Café or Restaurant Manager within a premium, food-led environment.
Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and driving performance.
A natural leader with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
Immaculate personal presentation, reflecting our premium brand standards.
A genuine passion for organic, seasonal food and sustainable hospitality.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
Confident communication skills and a polished, professional presence
