About Us
King’s College London is one of the world’s leading research universities, renowned for its commitment to excellence in education, discovery, and innovation. This position is based within the Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine , in the School of Cancer & Pharmaceutical Sciences , and forms part of the Systems Cancer Immunology research group at Guy’s Hospital. The successful candidate will join a vibrant, multidisciplinary team working at the interface of clinical haematology, immunology, and computational biology, with access to world-class facilities and collaborative opportunities across King’s and partner institutions.
About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join the Systems Cancer Immunology research group at King’s College London, based at Guy’s Campus. The postholder will work under the supervision of Professor Shahram Kordasti within a dynamic multidisciplinary team that integrates clinical haematology, advanced immunology, and computational biology to investigate immune dysregulation in myeloid malignancies.
The primary focus of the role is to perform comprehensive immune profiling of patients with myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN) using high-dimensional cytometry approaches and cytokine analysis. The postholder will apply computational and statistical methods to integrate and interpret these datasets, generating insights into immune mechanisms and therapeutic response. The project forms part of a broader translational research effort aimed at developing novel immunomonitoring strategies and improving patient stratification.
The successful candidate will also contribute to ongoing immunology projects within the group, collaborating closely with clinical and laboratory scientists to deliver high-quality, reproducible research. They will be expected to present findings at national and international meetings, prepare manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication, and support the training of students and junior researchers.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop advanced skills in translational immunology, cytometry, and computational analysis within a highly collaborative research environment. The postholder will be encouraged to pursue their own research interests aligned with the team’s focus, contribute to future grant applications, and play an active part in the scientific life of King’s College London.
This is a full time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 30/11/2026.
