Finance Assistant - Peckham, Southwark - January 2026
A dynamic and community-driven 11–18 secondary school in Peckham is seeking a diligent and detail-focused Finance Assistant to join its busy Business & Operations team from January 2026 . The school has undergone significant redevelopment in recent years and now operates from a modern, purpose-built campus with a strong emphasis on efficiency, safeguarding and operational excellence.
The Role
Working as part of the school’s central finance function, you will support day-to-day financial administration and ensure smooth running of financial systems. Responsibilities include:
- Processing purchase orders, invoices and payments
- Managing supplier queries and reconciling statements
- Supporting payroll preparation and staffing cost reports
- Monitoring departmental budgets and flagging discrepancies
- Maintaining accurate financial records in line with audit requirements
- Supporting the Finance Manager during year-end processes

What You’ll Bring
