Account Manager
Our client is a specialised fund administrator for a private fund. The role is focused on sales for ‘New Logo’ Private Equity and Venture Capital funds with AUM £50M – £1Bn plus and Account Management of an existing client portfolio on 50/50 proportional basis.
The chosen candidate will be required to understand my client’s service proposition, define a sales and account management strategy for revenue growth across both their new and existing client’s.
They will understand the full sales cycle of business development for my client including management of the business development cycle, from prospecting lead generation, through to contract negotiation and closing.
Salary: Basic £60,00- OTE £100,000
The Role:
- Account Management: The role is responsible for the account management of existing clients:
- Active relationship with a portfolio of existing clients, establish and source new fund launches (for example new launches, regulatory updates etc )
- Relationship level management ensuring existing clients are happy and engaged with my client’s service offering – Client Portal, Reporting etc
- Introduce the Investment Platform to the existing client base, as flexible fund structure for GP/LPs.
- Ensure clients are engaged with MFS and remain referenceable
- Developing key account collateral for handouts, website, email campaigns.
- Assistance with the on-boarding of new clients
- Teamwork- Working closely with the Operations Management and Marketing to effectively create, sell and deliver new customer contract wins.
- Reporting- Control of business forecasting through effective funnel management and ensuring company CRM database(s) are continually updated
- Market & Product knowledge
The Person:
- Educated to Professional Level (or equivalent), or significant equivalent experience in a new business sales role, typically of at least ten years.
- Experience of working within and existing well established personal network within the vertical market.
- Demonstrable & sound understanding of Fund structures and Managed Accounts.
- Adequately developed sales techniques: opening, listening, closing, fact finding and investigative techniques.
- Demonstrate excellent communications skills including the ability to engage at all levels internally and externally to build successful relationships.
- Self-motivated, able to prioritise competing commitments, and demonstrate excellent time management.
- Demonstrate high standards of numeracy and be able to easily articulate the fundamentals of deal structure and profitability.
- Ability to grasp, understand and summarise detail and business benefits in relation to services provided, opportunity analysis, contractual construct and account drivers.
- Present a professional and credible personal image at all times – Demonstrate ability in adapting own personal style to suit the customer.
This is a fully office based role and is full-time Monday to Friday.
