Senior Civils Technician (Hiring Immediately)

Key duties and Responsibilities Production and co-ordination of technical drawings/ Civils 3D models Programming of work in accordance with clients'/ project requirements Providing feedback to project leads regarding progress against project plans/deadlines Working with other disciplines and/or external bodies Attend project/design/BIM meetings and site visits Document Control & Project Maintenance Assist in the process of project resourcing for the Civils team Provide training/mentoring/ feedback for software for engineers and technicians Assist in discussions with the management and development of standards and practices in relation to BIM within the business e.g. template files, standards documents etc. Attend external BIM seminars and evaluate emerging technologies for use within the business Qualifications and Experience Essential: Self-motivated and enthusiastic individual Ability to work on own initiative but work well and contribute as part of team Excellent ability to communicate verbally and written Checking work for accuracy and quality control purposes, including the work of colleagues and other members of the project team Liaison with other members of the design team over queries or issues relating to drawings/ Civils models, and assisting with resolution Ability to work under pressure, whilst ensuring deadlines are Strong knowledge/ experience in civil engineering Experienced and proficient in the use of Civils 3D to produce and amend structural drawings specifically relating to buildings Experience of controlling incoming and outgoing documents to ensure that changes are identified, that the accuracy of drawings held on file is maintained, and that documents are issued to clients and contractors in the required format and using the required method Varied experience in a similar role (building drainage and highways design) Desirable: Already a member or making progress towards technician chartership Knowledge of co-ordination process between Civils 3D and Revit/ Navisworks Experience in the use of AUTOCAD Experience in carrying out clash detection exercises Experience in responding to and managing BIM documentation (BEP, EIR ) and ensuring projects adhere to project BIM standards Experience in assisting in the production of marketing material e.g. Renders, VR, presentations etc.
