SEN Teaching Assistant | Tower Hamlets
A friendly and inclusive primary school in Tower Hamlets is recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from January 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about working with children with additional needs, providing both academic and emotional support in a caring school environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver small group and one-to-one support, helping pupils access the curriculum and develop independence. Responsibilities include assisting with differentiated learning tasks, supporting positive behaviour, and fostering confidence in pupils. You will also play an active role in liaising with staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure a consistent and effective approach to learning support.
The school has a strong ethos of inclusion, calm and structured classrooms, and supportive leadership. Staff receive regular training in SEN and professional development, while collaborative teamwork is highly valued. The ideal candidate will be patient, reliable, and flexible, with a genuine interest in helping pupils succeed.
To be considered for this teaching position, please forward a CV as soon as possible.
