Are you an enthusiastic PE Teacher who can motivate students to become active, confident and resilient? An Outstanding School in Sutton is seeking a full-time, permanent PE Teacher to join its Physical Education Department.

• Teaching Physical Education across KS3 and KS4, including GCSE PE

You will deliver practical and classroom-based PE lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Students will have opportunities to develop their skills across a variety of sports while also learning about fitness, health, performance and the principles of training.

The successful PE Teacher will be confident delivering engaging practical lessons and maintaining high standards of behaviour and participation.

For GCSE groups, you will teach both practical and theoretical elements, supporting students with areas such as anatomy and physiology, physical training, sports psychology and socio-cultural influences.

The role will also involve assessment, tracking student progress and providing appropriate feedback to help pupils improve.

PE Teacher - Experience and Qualifications

• PE or Sports-related Degree

• QTS or recognised teaching qualification

• Experience teaching PE at secondary level

• Ability to teach KS3 and KS4

• GCSE PE experience desirable

• Strong practical sporting knowledge

• Confident classroom and behaviour management

• Ability to deliver engaging practical lessons

• Good organisational skills

• Strong communication skills

• Commitment to student participation and progress

Salary

The salary for this PE Teacher position will be paid to scale on MPS/UPS, depending on experience and qualifications.
