We are seeking an organised, proactive and experienced School Office Administrator to join a welcoming and supportive school in Waltham Forest this September.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a friendly and dedicated team where relationships matter, collaboration is valued, and every member of staff plays an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school.
Please note: Applicants must have previous experience working in a school office. Due to the nature of the role, applications from candidates without school-based administrative experience will not be considered.
The successful candidate will be confident working in a busy school environment, providing excellent administrative support while delivering a professional and welcoming service to pupils, parents, staff and visitors.
The role will involve:
Providing efficient administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team and wider school staff.
Managing reception duties, answering telephone and email enquiries, and welcoming visitors to the school.
Maintaining accurate pupil records using the school's Management Information System (MIS), such as SIMS, Arbor or Bromcom.
Supporting attendance, admissions and general school administration.
Preparing correspondence, reports and documentation while ensuring confidentiality at all times.
Assisting with school events, parents' evenings and other administrative tasks as required.
We are looking for someone who:
Has previous experience working as a School Office Administrator, School Receptionist or within a school office (essential).
Has experience using school Management Information Systems such as SIMS, Arbor or Bromcom.
Has excellent organisational skills and can manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
Communicates professionally and confidently with pupils, parents, staff and external agencies.
Has a positive, flexible approach and enjoys working as part of a team.
Understands the importance of confidentiality, safeguarding and professionalism within a school setting.
