The Year 1 Teacher will work closely with phase leaders to design next-step plans, run small-group interventions and support assessment and reporting. Induction and planning time are provided ahead of January 2026, ensuring the Year 1 Teacher is ready to begin teaching in the spring term. Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver well-structured Year 1 lessons that build phonics, reading and number fluency.

• Communicate progress effectively with parents and contribute to moderation activities.

Person specification

• Qualified teacher with proven Year 1 classroom experience and strong phonic knowledge.
• Excellent classroom management, organisational skills and a commitment to pupil progress.
• Collaborative approach to teaching and an eagerness to contribute to the Kingston school community.
• Able to start January 2026 and able to be based in Kingston.
