Are you a recent graduate looking to enter the finance and accounting industry? The ACA is ICAEW’s globally recognised chartered accountancy qualification. It’s designed to provide trainees with the professional skills and strategic insight they'll need to make a real impact.
Prospective accountants can start the ACA qualification after completing an undergraduate degree in any subject. They don’t have to have studied accountancy, business, or finance. Employers are interested in graduates from a range of degree backgrounds, and you’ll learn everything you need to know in your training agreement.
Your Role:
As a Chartered Accountant Trainee, you will:
- Gain diverse experience: Depending on your placement, you may rotate through various departments, including audit, tax, financial management, and advisory services, to build a well-rounded skill set.
- Work on real projects: Contribute to client engagements, prepare financial statements, conduct audits, and provide business insights that help drive success for your employer.
- Pursue the ACA qualification: Undertake the ICAEW ACA qualification, with support from your employer, including study leave, exam fees, and a structured training programme.
- Develop Essential skills: Build your expertise in financial reporting, business strategy, data analysis, and communication, laying the foundation for a successful career as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Recent Graduate: You should have an undergraduate degree in any discipline. A background in finance, accounting, business, or economics is advantageous but not essential.
- Analytical Thinker: You enjoy working with numbers and have a keen eye for detail.
- Strong Communicator: You can clearly and effectively explain complex information, both in writing and verbally.
- Motivated and Ambitious: You’re proactive, eager to learn, and ready to take on the challenges of a demanding career.
- Team Player: You thrive in a collaborative environment and are excited to work closely with colleagues and clients.
What You’ll Gain:
- Support for ACA qualification: Your employer will cover the costs of your ACA exams and provide study leave to help you succeed in gaining the ICAEW ACA qualification.
- Practical experience: Gain real-world experience from day one, working on projects that contribute to the success of your employer and your own professional development.
- Ongoing mentorship and development: Benefit from the guidance of experienced mentors and continuous professional development opportunities.
- A prestigious qualification: The ICAEW ACA qualification is globally recognised and will position you as a leader in the finance industry.
