We’re looking for an enthusiastic and detail-driven Online Merchandising Assistant to join our onsite merchandising team on a 4-month fixed-term contract. This role is integral in supporting the delivery of a world-class online customer experience in line with our commercial objectives and digital strategy.

Working across web, tablet, mobile, and app, you’ll help ensure a seamless, engaging, and optimised shopping experience for our customers. It’s a fast-paced environment, ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, can manage multiple priorities, and is passionate about e-commerce and online retail.

To stay close to customers, our support teams are in the office three days a week as we believe that skills are developed through collaboration, and that spending time together makes us more creative and connected.

What you’ll do

Your key accountabilities will include

  • Planning and executing key campaign and promotional events on site
  • Working with marketing and trade activity team to ensure aligned customer experience across all channels
  • Review the website (site merchandising) daily to ensure we are presenting the best customer experience to our customers across all devices
  • Collaborate with the M&S Chennai Site Merchandising team to deliver the customer journey and on-site experience to quality standards and timelines
  • Monitor and analyse key web analytics to make recommendations to improve the customer journey

Who you are

Your skills and experience will include

  • Genuine enthusiasm for e-commerce, with a proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a strong commitment to delivering the best experience for the customer
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy across all tasks
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage workload effectively, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Confident in data interpretation, with the ability to analyse and report on key information
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
