Do you have the passion, drive and creativity to support children and families to ensure they reach their full potential and achieve the best outcomes ?
Our Family Hubs offer support to children and families from conception to 19 years or up to 25 years for those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), with the Start for Life offer at their core, supporting children and parents through each developmental stage .
As a Family Hub Connector, you will work collaboratively with a diverse range of services and partners to reduce inequalities, improve access and connections between families, professionals and services so children, young people and their families receive the right support at the right time .
About the role
As the Family Hub Connector , you will work with a team of multi-agency professionals to deliver the Family Hub and Best Start for Life offer. You will be at the heart of the community, in family homes, supporting parents through evidence-based interventions to enable them to support their children to have the best start in life and reach their full potential .
You will play a crucial role in leading and delivering a range of interventions including targeted outreach and family support, high quality Early Years learning based activities and groups using the Early Years Foundation Stage, Development Matters and the Best Start for Life – a Vision for the 1001 critical days for children and families, as well as connecting children young people and their families to universal and targeted community services .
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare & Education or primary education, health, or social work.
- Level 4 award in work with parents (would be ideal).
- Extensive experience of working with children and families in the community.
- Experience of visiting and delivering interventions in the family home.
- Sound knowledge of child development to support a good level of development.
- Sound knowledge of safeguarding and commitment to undertaking risk assessments of the work environment to ensure safety to self and others .
