The Role - 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

* Full-time, long-term role starting immediately
* Provide 1:1 support to a student with complex needs (ASC, SEMH, ADHD, or developmental delays)
* Support classroom engagement, emotional regulation, and communication
* Assist with academic learning tasks tailored to the student's individual needs
* Implement behaviour strategies and help the student manage triggers and transitions
* Work with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised support plans
* Track and record progress, providing updates to staff and parents where necessary
* Help create a safe, positive, structured learning environment that enables the student to thrive

Person Specification

* A degree in Education, Psychology or a related field (desirable)
* Experience supporting children with SEN, autism, SEMH, or behavioural needs (preferred)
* Patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a calm and supportive approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers and reach their full potential
