Your new companyYour new role working as a Broker Underwriter means that you will be working for a mid-market commercial insurer based in the city, where it has been serving its customers for over 40 years. Providing efficient, timely and professional support to brokers for both new business and renewals, midterm adjustment and general enquiries. Due to exciting growth within their team, a fantastic opportunity for a Broker Underwriter to join their London team has arisen.
Your new job working as a Broker Underwriter means you will be responsible for:

• Review and analyse risk submissions
• Provide accurate pricing recommendations
• Dealing with Commercial combined business
• Proactively develop strong relationships with a designated panel of brokers
• Underwrite commercial combined/SME risks within the Broker Business team, wholesale business
• Quoting new business, and underwriting existing business (MTAs and renewals).

What you'll need to succeed

• At least 3 years experience in insurance underwriting within commercial/SME lines.
• Cert CII of equivalent professional qualification
• Good understanding and knowledge of the insurance industry.
• Knowledge and experience of underwriting insurance risks
• Good time management skills to meet deadlines.
• Good communications and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
