Health & Safety Advisor

This role involves working across various dynamic construction projects throughout London, ensuring robust health and safety practices are implemented and maintained. You will play a key role in fostering a proactive safety culture and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.

• Develop, implement, and review site-specific risk assessments and method statements.

• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, recommending effective corrective and preventative actions.

• Deliver comprehensive health and safety training and inductions to site personnel and contractors.

• Ensure strict adherence to all relevant UK health and safety legislation and company policies.

• Advise project teams and management on best practices for health, safety, and environmental protection.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date H&S records, reports, and documentation.

• Promote a positive and proactive health and safety culture across all operational sites.

• Assist in the development and continuous improvement of H&S management systems and procedures.

• Monitor and evaluate contractor health and safety performance. About You

• We are looking for a proactive and experienced Health & Safety professional ready to make a significant impact within a leading construction environment. You will be a confident communicator with a strong understanding of site operations and regulatory requirements. Proven mid-senior level experience as a Health & Safety Advisor, ideally within the construction sector.

• Relevant health and safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH Construction Certificate or Diploma).

• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and industry best practices.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

• Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.

• Proficiency in using H&S management systems and reporting tools.
