Role Information
The school is looking to appoint a passionate Religious Education Teacher (ECT) to join the department as soon as possible. You will teach RE across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to gain experience at KS5 as your confidence develops.
You will deliver lessons that encourage critical thinking, respectful discussion, and engagement with contemporary moral and ethical issues. The role also involves contributing to curriculum planning, assessment development, and enrichment activities such as debate clubs and themed learning days.
As an ECT, you will be fully supported through a structured induction programme, regular mentoring meetings, and access to high-quality professional development.
Requirements
• QTS (or pending QTS)
• A degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy, or a related subject
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Commitment to inclusive education and respectful dialogue
• Enthusiasm for developing as a reflective practitioner
