Veritas Education is partnering with secondary schools in North West and West London to recruit dedicated and adaptable Maths and Science Graduate Teaching Assistants . This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience, supporting students' learning, building their confidence, and making a meaningful impact on their educational journey. Roles are full-time, term-time only, and available to start as soon as possible.
Responsibilities for Maths and Science Graduate Teaching Assistant include:
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and supporting classroom learning.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students, including those with SEN, helping to reinforce learning.
- Support the development of students' academic skills as well as their social and emotional growth.
- Help manage classroom behavior and promote a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Prepare and organise teaching resources to support lesson delivery and student engagement.
- Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to track student progress and implement learning strategies.
About you:
- Educated to degree level in an Maths or Science, or in any STEM subject area
- Have previous experience within a school or other child related experience.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm and a professional and friendly approach.
- Have knowledge and experience supporting children within special educational needs.
- School based experience preferred but not essential.
Graduates with relevant experience or an interest in pursuing a career in education are encouraged to apply.
