Job Overview

The successful applicant will play a central role in delivering dynamic Physical Education lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (including GCSE PE / BTEC Sport delivery).
Working closely with the PE department, you will lead high-energy practical sessions across a wide range of sports—including netball, athletics, gymnastics, football, and fitness. This is a full-time, ongoing role suited to a passionate, highly organized practitioner ready to make an immediate impact. (Note: Gender exemption applies under the Equality Act 2010 for physical education provision in a single-sex setting).
Key Responsibilities
Deliver energetic, inclusive PE lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE PE / Vocational Sport options)
Plan, resource, and execute practical units that build physical literacy, teamwork, and tactical understanding
Organize and lead extra-curricular sports clubs, lunchtime training, and fixtures against local schools
Monitor, record, and evaluate pupil progress to ensure strong practical and theoretical outcomes
Maintain high standards of health, safety, and risk assessment in gymnasiums, sports halls, and outdoor pitches
Serve as a Form Tutor, supporting the pastoral care, tracking, and wellbeing of your assigned year group
Foster a culture of active participation, personal bests, and positive sportsmanship across all ability levels

Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will feature:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognized UK teaching credentials (PGCE / SCITT)
An honors degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a closely related discipline
Demonstrated experience delivering core PE across KS3/KS4, alongside theoretical GCSE PE delivery
Strong practical coaching skills and enthusiasm for leading extra-curricular sports fixtures
Excellent behavior management and the ability to motivate girls of all fitness levels
A proactive, energetic, and resilient approach to teaching
