The Sales Teams lead the sale of large and complex opportunities at Accenture in the UK and Ireland across a variety of different industries. It is a dynamic team made up of Sales Captures and Bid Managers who lead and support opportunities that often combine the full breadth of Accenture. We work with most of the major clients across many market sectors, as well as working with new players in the industry. This is an exciting and vibrant team who bring to bear the best of sales at Accenture within a team environment that positively encourages growth and promotion.

What responsibilities will you have?
  • The Sales role sits in the Sales Capture career path within the team, working under the direction of more senior Sales Captures (typically Sales Capture Associate Directors)
  • The Sales role is a broad role that encompasses supporting senior management within sales opportunities by using a breadth of skills to help drive sales strategy, including, but not limited to sales pipeline management, relevant Leadership updates, origination of new work and client strategy development
  • Ensuring our sales offering aligns with client requirements
  • Supporting or leading on sales pipeline management across the whole of IX in UK, Ireland and Africa to help Leadership keep track of our sales targets and actuals on weekly and monthly basis both within IX and in the wider business across our Client Groups
  • Supporting the work of our UK Innovation Hub showcasing the latest demonstrations and innovations in IX
  • Working with the deal leadership team on the development, refinement and execution of the sales strategy
  • Creating and influencing a sales campaign strategy and ensuring the involvement of the Accenture Leadership to develop winning, compelling, and compliant proposals
  • Ensure deal strategy and proposal activities align with our internal Accenture governance processes
  • Working with, and learning from the Senior Sales Leads in the development and shaping of the deal including financial structuring and pricing strategies
  • Working with market leading Subject Matter Experts to understand and articulate key risks for each bid component, including solution delivery and legal/contracting risk

What skills & experience are we looking for?

You should have knowledge and/or experience of working in a sales pursuit team environment
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: Bid/proposal management, business development, project management, negotiations with a client or commercial pricing
  • Experience in managing a sales pipeline and using the data to provide regular updates to Leadership
  • Must be flexible, having a positive attitude to take on additional/new responsibilities according to dynamic business needs of IX
  • Proficient at assessing complex problems and identifying solutions
  • Ability to learn and adhere to processes within a sales lifecycle
  • Strong communication skills - to interact with senior management at a client and/or within Accenture, involving matters that may require acceptance of an alternate approach
  • Organised and proficient at planning to achieve challenging timelines
  • Proficient at working collaboratively with both the internal sales team and client stakeholders
  • Ability to lead small-medium teams, projects, plans within Accenture or client organisation - facilitating calls and meetings as required.
