About the client: Grace (8) and Thomas (4) live with their mum and dad in West London. Both are bursting with creativity and enjoy arts and crafts, imaginative play with Lego, and building with magnetic tiles. Grace is an avid collector of Maileg mice and loves getting lost in stories, especially the Harry Potter universe. She attends dance class and chess club. Grace s ASC means she can find transitions and changes challenging, and she experiences fatigue, anxiety, and sensory/emotional dysregulation. She is verbal and independent with personal care. Thomas is a lively, adventurous four-year-old who enjoys board games, swimming, football, and the park. He also loves cats. While not formally diagnosed, he shows traits of ADHD and can sometimes struggle with sensory and emotional regulation.

The role at a glance: This is a collaborative role, with Mum present at home. The SEN Nanny will work closely with Mum to manage after-school pickups and the evening routine. Isabelle tends to prefer going straight home after school to rest and decompress, while Thomas may enjoy stopping by the park on the way home. The Nanny will support both children in managing emotional dysregulation, providing calm, nurturing, and responsive care. Candidates should be confident in reading children s behaviours, giving them space when required, and applying strategies such as the Zones of Regulation to help them self-regulate. Grace enjoys quiet craft activities, while Thomas prefers active play in the communal gardens. Responsibilities include homework supervision, serving dinner, occasionally preparing meals, and assisting with bath and bedtime routines. During school holidays, there s more time to engage in playful and enriching activities, both inside and outside the home. Consistency is very important to the family, so candidates seeking a long-term placement are highly preferred. £21.00 to £23.00 Gross Per Hour offered depending on level of experience.

This job would suit: This role is ideal for a female candidate with strong experience supporting children with emotional regulation challenges and those on the autistic spectrum. We re looking for someone calm, nurturing, and emotionally intuitive, who can respond appropriately to children s needs, give space when necessary, and apply structured strategies to manage dysregulation. Enthusiasm for creative play and exploring enriching activities throughout the school holidays is key.

Why You ll Love This Role Supporting Grace and Thomas is a truly rewarding opportunity, offering the chance to make a meaningful difference in their daily lives and development. The SEN Nanny will have the opportunity to be involved in Grace s psychotherapy sessions and access useful occupational therapy resources that can be implemented in day-to-day routines.

Recruitment Process Snap Care will manage the full recruitment process, including shortlisting, recruiter interviews, and arranging employer interviews. Please note: Unfortunately, we are unable to provide sponsorship for any of our vacancies. If a specific gender is required, this is a genuine occupational requirement under paragraph 1, schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.
