AV Field Service Engineer

What you'll be doing As a Field Service Engineer, you'll be at the frontline of client engagement, ensuring systems run smoothly and issues are resolved quickly. No two days are the same - you'll switch between remote support, site visits, diagnostics, and proactive maintenance Your responsibilities will include: Responding to support tickets and calls, troubleshooting and resolving issues. Conducting on-site visits, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance. Monitoring equipment, carrying out firmware updates, and managing RMAs Working with service desk and account managers to maintain client satisfaction. Producing accurate documentation, site reports, and updates. Insuring exceptional customer service across all interactions. What the Client is looking for: We're seeking someone who brings both technical expertise and a customer-first mindset. Technical skills & experience: Strong knowledge of AV and conferencing systems (Crestron, Extron, AMX, Biamp, BSS Soundweb). Understanding of video, audio processing, and IT networking fundamentals (IP addressing, VLANs, cable testing). Experience with building technologies (access control, CCTV, BMS, lighting). Confident with schematics, firmware updates, and diagnostics. Personal qualities: Excellent communicator, able to explain technical info clearly to all audiences. Calm, professional, and solution-focused, even under pressure. Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively. A true team player who also works confidently on their own initiative. Willingness to travel across the UK and occasionally into Europe. Additional requirements: Valid driving licence and passport.
