Nanny
This is a fantastic opportunity for a warm, energetic and developmentally minded nanny looking to build a long-term role with an engaged, welcoming family.
The Family & Children
The family have two delightful children: • Boy aged 4, attending nursery
• Girl aged 2, currently at home full-time and due to start nursery in September 2025 (until 3pm)
Both parents work in professional roles and follow a hybrid schedule, working approximately three days per week in the office and two days from home, in dedicated workspaces. The position will be sole charge.
The family have Dutch and English backgrounds and enjoy the outdoors, sports, arts and culture. They would love a nanny who shares similar interests and enthusiasm for active, enriching days.
The Role
A full-time nanny role, caring primarily for the 2-year-old during the day, with wrap-around care for the 4-year-old before and after nursery.
Key responsibilities include: • Managing the children’s daily routines
• Preparing breakfast and getting the children ready for the day
• Planning and attending age-appropriate activities (classes, playgroups, park trips, Hampstead Heath outings)
• Preparing healthy, nutritious meals for the children, including age-appropriate weaning meals
• Managing nap times and afternoon activities
• Encouraging creativity, curiosity and learning through play, crafts, seasonal themes, music, singing and dancing
• Supporting physical development through outdoor play, scooters, balance bikes and sports
• Setting kind, consistent boundaries and instilling good manners and values Cooking skills are a bonus, particularly an interest in batch cooking for family meals, though this is not essential. Occasional light housekeeping (e.g. loading/unloading the dishwasher) may be requested and would be very much appreciated.

• Positive, flexible, proactive and well organised
• An excellent communicator and active listener

(Exceptions considered for candidates with strong nursery, teaching or family childcare backgrounds)
• An enhanced DBS certificate
• Excellent, checkable references
• A high level of confidence working sole charge Additional languages are welcome (particularly Dutch), but not essential. Accommodation The family are open to either: • A live-out arrangement, or
• A live-in role with private accommodation provided, consisting of a self-contained one-bedroom flat in central Hampstead (NW3) The overall package will be structured accordingly and discussed with shortlisted candidates. Travel Openness to occasional travel (up to three short trips per year, typically within Europe) would be a bonus, but is not essential. Hours & Start Date • Monday to Friday, 8am–6pm (approximately 50 hours per week)
• Some flexibility with hours during January and potentially February
• Start date: Ideally January 2025, though flexibility is available for the right candidate Package The overall package is negotiable and will be discussed with suitable candidates, taking into account: • Experience and qualifications
