Commercial Administrator
Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Assistant / Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support commercial functions related to project works, including lifecycle and variations, at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The role involves working closely with Senior Quantity Surveyors and Construction Managers to ensure timely and accurate cost estimate submissions, preparation of documentation for monthly client sign-off meetings, subcontractor invoice approval, and maintenance of accurate commercial records. The position is initially temporary with the possibility of permanent employment for the right candidate. Ideally, the successful candidate will be able to start before Christmas, but a start date of 6th January is acceptable.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit cost estimates accurately and on time
Compile and organise documents for monthly client sign-off meetings
Manage and approve subcontractor invoices promptly
Maintain and update commercial records with precision
Collaborate effectively with Senior Quantity Surveyors and Construction Managers to support project delivery

Good communication and interpersonal skills
Experience or understanding of quantity surveying or commercial functions in construction
Proficient in document preparation and management
Ability to maintain accurate records

Software/Tools:
Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Commercial and project management software (desirable but not essential)
