The Role

The school seeks a qualified Chemistry specialist with extensive experience teaching the subject across all key stages, with a primary focus on GCSE and A-Level . The ideal candidate will be adept at challenging bright students and fostering analytical skills. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Delivering outstanding, intellectually rigorous lessons in Chemistry to girls from Key Stage 3 through to A-Level .
• Developing and implementing an ambitious curriculum that covers organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry, ensuring strong conceptual understanding.
• Planning and conducting practical laboratory work safely and effectively, instilling excellent experimental technique in students.
• Guiding students through challenging examinations and supporting those aiming for highly competitive science, medicine, and engineering courses at top universities.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this prestigious position, you should have:

• A degree in Chemistry or a closely related scientific field from a strong university.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualifications (e.g., PGCE, Independent School teaching experience).
• Extensive proven experience teaching Chemistry at the A-Level , with a demonstrable history of achieving excellent student outcomes.
