Corporate Energy Associate/Senior Associate
Our Client
Our client, a top-tier international law firm, is seeking an experienced Energy Corporate Associate/Senior Associate to join their market-leading corporate energy practice in London. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented lawyer to work on impactful transactions across the oil, gas, infrastructure and broader energy sectors. The firm promotes an inclusive, high-performance culture that values collaboration and diversity. You will benefit from a supportive environment that encourages ownership, responsibility, and professional growth, all while enjoying a rewarding work-life balance in a firm with a "work hard, play hard" philosophy.
The Role
In this position, you will be integral to the corporate energy practice, managing high-profile private M&A and project development transactions across various geographies. You will draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including sale and purchase agreements, share subscription and joint venture agreements, pre-bid agreements, and ancillary transaction documents. Leading large-scale due diligence exercises and collaborating with colleagues and external advisors will be key to providing seamless client service. Additionally, you’ll engage in business development and networking activities while mentoring junior lawyers and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This position also offers significant opportunities for career advancement within a collaborative team.
Your Profile
4+ Years of PQE corporate transactional experience in the energy sector.
Excellent academic track record with strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to draft, review, and negotiate legal documents effectively.
Proven client-facing experience with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships while understanding and responding to client needs.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with adaptability to work across multiple jurisdictions and lead teams on complex transactions.
