Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant

Location: Kingston-upon-Thames
Role: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8:30am–15:30pm
Salary: £500–£600 per week
Start Date: September 2025

They now seek a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant who is enthusiastic about contributing to this vibrant environment and eager to develop their own teaching skills alongside experienced professionals.

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate for this Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant role will have:

  • A 2:1 or higher degree from a top university (any subject)
  • A genuine interest in working with primary-aged children (4–11 years)
  • Patience, empathy, and a flexible, can-do attitude
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A long-term interest in education, child psychology, or teaching
  • Some experience working with children (desirable but not essential)

The Role

As a Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant, you'll be a key part of classroom environment, providing crucial support for both students and teachers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Inspiring a love of learning by assisting teachers in the delivery of dynamic and creative lessons.
  • Providing targeted support to pupils, both one-to-one and in small groups, to help them build confidence and overcome challenges.
  • Helping to create a nurturing and inclusive classroom, where every child feels valued and is encouraged to thrive.
  • Supporting pupil well-being by being a positive role model and assisting with behaviour management.
  • Contributing to the day-to-day life of the school, including lunchtime and break-time duties, and helping with extracurricular activities.
  • Developing strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to support a collaborative and supportive school community.
