Project Development Manager
At ENGIE, we're leading the charge in the energy transition, and we're looking for a dynamic Project Development Manager to join our team. Your expertise will be crucial in driving forward our renewable energy projects, particularly in the biogas and anaerobic digestion sectors. This role offers you the chance to make a significant impact on sustainable energy solutions while working with a diverse, innovative team.
An overview of what you will do
- Take overall responsibility for project execution from development committee to final investment decision
- Manage and coordinate internal teams and external consultants to deliver successful planning permissions and project milestones
- Develop and implement strategies to accelerate project development, optimizing CAPEX, OPEX, and DEVEX
- Lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships, both internal and external
- Prepare investment notes and associated documentation for investment committees
- Identify and mitigate project risks while ensuring regulatory and contractual compliance
What you will bring to the role
- A seasoned professional with 5+ years of project management experience in renewable energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors
- Possess a strong understanding of biogas, anaerobic digestion, or broader energy markets, including regulatory frameworks
- Demonstrate excellent leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive complex projects
- Skilled in risk assessment and financial modelling of renewable energy projects
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools (e.g., MS Project)
- Hold a technical, engineering, or finance background (preferred)
- Proactive, solutions-oriented, and adaptable, with excellent attention to detail
- Commercially aware with a strategic mindset and focus on continuous improvement
Job Based In
This role is based from our London office and offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing for a balance between on-site collaboration and remote flexibility.
