Part-time Housekeeper-Cook in GU8, Job ID J1EFF8

This lovely family based in Lewisham, London, is looking for a Part-time Housekeeper-Cook to keep their home clean and prepare meals for the family. All general housekeeping duties are required for this role. They are seeking someone with a confident background in cooking, who can manage everyday housekeeping tasks and carry out occasional deep cleaning when needed. The family has one dog, so the candidate must be comfortable around pets.

Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm

Duties include:

• Dealing with grocery shopping and maintaining receipts
• Placing orders for kitchen and utility supplies and also lamps for house lighting
• Keeping kitchen pots, pans and work surfaces clean and in good condition
• Ensuring the refrigerator is clean and out-of-date items discarded
• Tidying and cleaning bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas
• Organising window cleaners
• Some washing and ironing of laundry & hand washing delicate items (though much goes to laundry and dry cleaners who collect)
• Answering door
• Keeping patios, pathways and steps clean and tidy
• Watering household plants
• Preparing and serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
• Clearing away, tidying and cleaning the kitchen and rooms where food is eaten
• Presenting menus for approval and discussing dietary requirements with the client
