Analyst/Associate - DACH FIG DCM

The FIG DCM team based in London is looking for an Associate to support the Origination team to cover European Banks and Insurance clients with focus on financials in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The role requires close and ongoing collaboration with all Investment Banking product teams, Syndicate, ESG, Strategic Solutions and Sector and Coverage Bankers to capitalise on opportunities and ensure the coverage team delivers a best-in-class service to clients.


Key Accountabilities

The role includes all aspects related to FIG DCM coverage such as:

  • Preparing presentation and marketing materials to cover market, regulatory and pricing developments
  • Assisting in the deal execution and approval process
  • Support in issuer coverage to understand financing needs, market access, timing, execution strategy and asset class selection.
  • Engaging with client counterparties as appropriate
  • Supporting the team in daily tasks such as daily market updates and weekly new issue pricing
  • Support in the new issue execution process: approvals, process management, post transaction administration tasks

Knowledge & experience

Candidate would ideally have some DCM knowledge or experience

  • German speaking skills
  • Good analytical and numerical skills
  • Appetite to work in the dynamic and fast paced fixed income market
  • Attention to detail and dependability
  • Ability to learn fast
  • Ability to think laterally, not just process requests
  • Ability to engage with peers at a junior and senior level
